Meet Our Owner:

Javid
Ebrahimi

My name is Javid Ebrahimi and I am the owner of Copper Skillet in Martinez CA. My father moved to the Bay Area in the 1970’s and has called it home ever since. The Copper Skillet name was founded in 1973 – it has become what it is now by his brothers and his success. I grew up watching my dad’s food make everyone in his restaurant happy! His cooking was his art, a piece of his heart in every single meal he created.  People came for the food, and stayed for Jack’s personality and charm. Every customer was family at The Copper Skillet and my dad knew almost everyone by name. I envied this and wanted to be him for as long as I can remember.

I began working in the kitchen and learning the family business at the age of 13. I would spend all my free time with him learning how he ran the business, inside and out. Later in life, I took a personal culinary journey of my own. I designed/opened up a food truck Grab and Go Kabob, started a food truck community market, Taste of the World Market, and designed/opened (along with my sister Leida), a first of its kind beer and wine truck, The Guzzler. All of these ventures have led me around the entire Bay Area and meeting countless communities.

I am now the proud owner of The Copper Skillet, lucky enough to carry on my father’s egg and bacon legacy! Customers aren’t just strangers who walk through that door to order food, they are family, sharing a table under my roof.  I aim to make everyone feel welcome and at home when they come to our restaurant. I love the Martinez community and can’t wait to keep serving them for many years to come!
